Miolée received his education at the Kunst-nijverheidsschool in Haarlem from, among others, H.M. Krabbé and F.Th.Grabijn. He painted still lifes, some cityscapes and landscapes, and in particular dune landscapes, for which he drew inspiration in Haarlem and in the vicinity of The Hague and Voorburg. His work is called realistic with an impressionistic slant. His beach views are also known.
